Our Mission
Small engineering teams deserve the same infrastructure discipline as large ones — without hiring a platform team to get it. DevCloudSouth exists to give growing teams a senior DevSecOps partner on terms that match how they actually operate: monthly, accountable, and embedded in their tools.

Our Story
We work on monthly support contracts, not billable-hour sprawl. One senior engineer, a fixed block of hours, and a standing planning call where your priorities set the agenda.
We integrate into your Slack, your repos, and your cloud accounts — so the work is visible, and everything we build stays yours. Most clients start with a 30-minute discovery call and a two-week onboarding: access, a review of the infrastructure and pipeline, and a prioritized findings list. From there, the hours flow to whatever needs attention most.
DevCloudSouth was founded in 2020 by Joseph Lombardo, a cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps engineer based in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. Joseph has spent more than fifteen years building and running production infrastructure — as Director of DevOps at Red Ventures and Lead Infrastructure Engineer at zero-trust networking platform NetFoundry — before going independent to bring that same discipline to growing teams.
That background also includes supporting Department of Defense cloud programs through the NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework: Authority to Operate (ATO) packages, eMASS, System Security Plans, and IL5/IL6 classified cloud environments. When DevCloudSouth says "DevSecOps," it's from experience where the "Sec" carried an assessor's signature.
